Sack Into It
It has been some time since I have last made a dev log. This is not because I had given up on the project. I needed some time to think about what direction Sack Investigation needs head towards and how I as a developer can prevent myself from losing sight of what is essential. Slowly but surely the game is being refined into an interesting experience with larger level layouts and more intrinsic mechanics. But the big milestone is the game is fully functional in online multiplayer and can be played with up to 7 other sacks! This does create an unfortunate issue where player testing will be far more difficult because there is no distinction between dev servers and public testing servers. I am trying my best to find a fix so I can get actual feedback and reiterate on a large portion of the game.
I want to also refocus the purpose of my dev logs for Sack Investigation. It will no longer focus solely on the development of the game but also reporting on the public engagement of the game and how the game is performing financially. If you are interested in hearing about any other logistics involved in the creation of Sack Investigation, then I will be more than open to talking about it. I will be trying to resume updating my dev log every week but I also want to be more active on social platforms and share my experience of generating a community.
Have it good,
CJC
